Beth Rogers Ph.D., MBA

Beth Rogers has enjoyed a multifaceted life and career as an independent businesswoman, leading a farming and real estate firm, a college lecturer, a political activist, and an advocate for women, a community leader and philanthropist, she has served in different capacities for many philanthropic organizations. Rogers earned her bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, doctorate in political anthropology, and masters of business administration at UCLA.  Her interest in anthropology took her to Mexico where she became fluent in Spanish doing field work with the National Museum. She worked at the Fowler Museum at UCLA as well as teaching classes in family business at the Price Center for Entrepreneurship. She hosted the radio show Real Women Real Radio which focused on the successes and role models for women. After serving on numerous boards including the California State Teachers Retirement board, she ran for the House of Representatives on the California Central Coast. A fourth generation Californian, Rogers resides in Santa Barbara with her husband. She has five children and eight grandchildren.

Allison Mayer-Oakes, M.D.

Dr. Allison Mayer-Oakes has always practiced medicine believing in the whole person – body, mind and spirit. She takes care of teens to seniors. She particularly has been an expert in successful aging and with a focus on women’s hormonal health and geriatrics. Allison was on faculty at the UCLA School of Medicine. She has published over 25 peer-reviewed scientific articles. Upon leaving UCLA, Allison started her own private practice in Santa Barbara, California and was voted one of the Top Primary Care Doctors in the Country by Town and Country Magazine. She has continued to do primary care adult practice in Santa Barbara.  Allison has two adult children and one grandchild.
